Artisan produce from monastic communities

Ora et Labora

Discover Bath’s monastic heritage.

Within the original cloisters of Bath Abbey, Ora et Labora offers visitors a unique glimpse of monastic life in medieval Bath.

Experience the history of Bath Abbey from the perspective of those who lived and worked within its cloisters – hear the Gregorian chants and follow the daily cycle of prayer and work that inspired a small community to transform the abbey from a provincial priory into a vast Norman Cathedral.

Ora et Labora showcases the very best of monastic produce from England and beyond.
